for me the "now" is that state of consciousness that recognizes a connection to it's higher self that is beyond concepts of past and future which the status quo seems to want to always use as scare tactics.
The bad things of the past will hurt you again unless you listen to us and buy what we say and also the bad things of the future will hurt you unless you listen to us buy what we say buy. Even the so called spiritual leaders of today have their selling phrases about "being in the now!" I think I just want to be left alone by them all, NOW!
In my intra-personal existence, I have the accountability and responsibility and power to control my "now". In my extra-personal existence, I have to pay attention to and respond to an overwhelming number of demands for my attention. A shift in that "now", it seems to me, is to require a perceptual/belief shift at the species level. So what is the change point at that level?
